Cranberry and Turkey Oh MY!

Cold weather is here and showing no signs of leaving I am afraid.

I know I know it is winter in the North. BUT I already am missing my warmth.

With the chilly weather I just love getting into the kitchen. Well actually pretty much anytime of year I love getting into the kitchen, lets be honest here. =)

I made a beautiful turkey last weekend when my kiddos grandparents came over to visit and have dinner with us. I t was a HUGE turkey for us. 22 pounds of poultry.

Reinventing leftovers is a fun thing for me too. How about you?

This was a hit with my kids!

Turkey Cranberry Crescent Roll.

Cranberry and Turkey Crescent Ring

2 cans crescent rolls
6 oz shredded cheese of choice
1c vegetable of choice
2c cut up cooked Turkey
1/2 c cranberry sauce
1/2c chopped pecans

Heat oven to 375
Mix all ingredients except crescent rolls in a medium bowl. Set aside.

Unroll both cans of dough; separate into 8 rectangles. On ungreased large cookie sheet, arrange rectangles in ring so short sides of rectangles form a 5-inch circle in center. Dough will overlap.

Spoon the turkey filling on the half of each rectangle closest to center of ring.

Bring each dough rectangle up over filling, tucking dough under bottom layer of dough to secure it. Repeat around ring until entire filling is enclosed (some filling might show a little, this is totally fine).

Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until dough is golden brown and thoroughly baked.

Cool 5 to 10 minutes before cutting into serving slices.

Serve with extra cranberry sauce if you'd like.
