Success

Good morning lovlies, how are you doing today?Success?

What is success?

According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary Success is defined as:

: the fact of getting or achieving wealth, respect, or fame

: the correct or desired result of an attempt

: someone or something that is successful : a person or thing that succeeds

So how would one achieve success then?

Now I ask you…

How do you define success?

Have a fantabulous day!

Until next time…

Daily

Good morning there you lovlies! What a great day it looks to be.

I had been doing a thankful Thursday sorta series but really I am grateful…thankful for so many reasons I would eventually just bore you all.

Thursday thought is sort of similar though because each topic I know I can find something about it that I am thankful for.

Like my children.

I love them to the core.

Even though my younger 2 are the only ones that live with me I think about my oldest son all the time.

I miss him terribly.

He left on bad terms and I do not agree with decisions he has made but that does not change my love for him.

I do not think a day goes by that my hopes are that things will change so I can see him and give him a hug.

My younger 2 make me smile…

Daily.

Children are truly such blessings and I am blessed 3 times over.

Then family that we marry into.

I absolutely adore my in-laws and it is a hard thing to think about no longer technically being related to them soon.

My Mother and Father-in-law are to me like my own parents.

I have known them for many many years and to have this change is hard too.

But family is actually what we make it.

Right?

Like family is not always blood related.

I have blood sisters and then I have sisters I have claimed.

Friends that have found a place in my heart.

Ones I can talk to.

Ones that make me smile.

Ones that accept me for who I am.

Those are family I choose.

I am blessed in so very many ways with people in my heart.

Ones I can call sister and smile.

After all I will say it again…

Family is what WE make.

What do you think?

Until next time…

Emotional Thank You

Hello there my lovlies. Hope your week has been a good one.

So as I am sitting down to gather my thoughts on what I am thankful for I get a notification I have been tagged on my Blog FB page.

So I read…

I cry…

I am truly thankful for all the people that have crossed my path over the years…

…in real life…

and in the cyber world.

On the home front I am thankful for my apartment starting to come together.

It is a work in progress but a work I am enjoying quite a bit.

I am so thankful for yummy fall goodness…

I am thankful for how good hot chocolate tastes and it can take away any anxieties,

if just for a few moments!! =)

I am thankful for the energy I have now since losing more than 160 pounds!

I never, and I mean NEVER would have been able to accomplish this move the way my daughter

and I did if my energy levels were still where they had been.

In the matter of 3 weeks Kat and I packed up our home…

…moved all the boxes…

…loaded those boxes in my van, squeezing as much as we could daily for a week…

…moved most of our furniture to the basement so it was on the level easiest to get out the door…

and cleaned our home we just moved out of!!

Rob helped…a little but at 10 I really did not expect a whole lot.

We truly kicked buttay!

Finally, and certainly not least for this week:

I am soooo thankful for so many friends pitching in and helping move our furniture last Saturday.

Many hands make the work light goes the saying and we saw it in action.

In just about an hour the truck and trailer was filled ready to head to our new apartment.

In just under an hour it was unloaded and in our apartment, where it belonged.

Not a lot of moving around necessary!

Thank you all!! <3 <3

Have a simply marvelous day!

Until next time…

Trish

Peace

A fantabulous morning all you lovlies! Hope your week has been good to you so far. Mine BUSY!!!

I want to share something today that I am so very very thankful, grateful for with you.

First I am thankful for the peace I am currently experiencing, despite issues going on in my personal life..

I took the selfie just before going out on a date night. A night out without the kiddos and adults only that was waaayyy over due.

An incredible friend made the statement I look like I am at peace, and he hit the nail right on the head!

I am at peace…mostly.

Most days.

So I am thankful for being at peace.

I am absolutely thankful for a fresh start!

My morning protein coffee that helps kick my day into high gear.

Last but not least by far for this week, my goofy kiddos!

On my worst day they can bring a smile to my face.

I love them with all my heart and am truly thankful they are still in my life.

Even on the worst day I truly believe if you just look around you and try to see what is truly good in your life,

what truly matters you just may be surprised at what you see.

Have a truly spectacular day!

Until next time…

Frugal Fridays

Good morning you fabulous people!

I love me some retail therapy, don't you?

Especially when I find just awesome deals like I did...again!

See I love going to GW Boutique...that is what we call our local Goodwill...BUT I have found some pretty awesome consignment stores here in my area lately.

Again I scored some great shirts for...

JUST $1 each!

Yep gotta love a good bargain.

See that little strapless number? totally LOVE how it fits and just as soon as this girl locates a bra that would be appropriate to wear under it, that baby will be worn without a sweater or cover up.

Still trying to get that regular exercise routine in, I WILL get there.

Now that is almost feels like summer here in the beautiful state of Maine I have been enjoying cold protein drinks instead of the regular hot coffee protein drinks.

One of my faves so far has been the Cookies and creme Frap!

Oh my!

I just cannot do my fave coffee shops....Starbucks...fraps because the sugar content makes me literally ill, but this is sooo good and I had my daughter taste it, she DOES enjoy Starbucks fraps, and she said it was pretty close to what she enjoys when we visit our local Starbucks.

So I ask you...

With summer here what are some of your favorite cold protein drinks?

Share with us please, maybe we will find a new fave! ;)

Have a marvelous day and weekend!

Until next time...

Trish

Perfect Day

Hello lovlies!

Things I am thankful for are never ending, but truly is not that the way it should be?

Tuesdays weather here in Maine was absolutely gorgeous!

Perfect day for a photo shoot!!

And a photo shoot we had!

A fantastic lady,

A beautiful person contacted me after reading about my sadness regarding not having a shoot done this fall.

Telling me she wanted to do our photos.

We finally were able to get together and what a perfect day!

We previewed the photos and let me tell you they were fantastic!!

I cannot wait to share them with all of you.

Heather you are very talented!!

I am so very thankful!

Our family tradition continues thanks to you.

I have a spot saved on my living room wall to showcase our fave, though I am thinking we might have a hard time choosing.

I am so thankful for the wonderful people…

   friends…

I have in my life.

Like friends that drop by…

To enjoy a nice dessert and chatting a bit.

And they make and bring YOU chocolate covered strawberries!!

Thank you Monica…the sister I never new I had.

Truly I am blessed!

What are you thankful for today?

Until Next time…

140 Pounds!!!

A fabulous hello to you!

Yesterday was, well, CRAZY!

I had a cosmetic reset assigned in a local store that went from a 4 hour day to an 8 1/2 hour day... all on my feet.

Then after getting home, finally eating a good meal...well sort of... it was off to my cleaning job!

Another 2 hours on my feet with physical work.

That person up there on the left would not have made it through the day, let alone made it to my cleaning job.

As sore as I am this morning I know with stretching and moving I will feel much better by the afternoon.

It is just mind blowing to me at the changes I have made the last 18 months. Changes I had been struggling to make...for years!

I am 15 pounds lighter now then in the right photo above, still about 60 pounds from where I would ultimately like to be but I feel good.

Not just feel good physically,  but mentally too. I feel good about what I have already accomplished and know I can still accomplish much.

I read something this morning...

Your fat might be someone else's skinny...

so don't judge.

Totally was an aha moment for me.

I truly am finding that despite...

The lose skin

The 60 pounds still to go

The soreness I feel right now

...I am comfortable in my own skin!

The first time I ever remember feeling this way.

I like it...a lot!

That certainly not to say I don't have moments or a day here and there that those old inadequate and hate my body feelings come back, but they are less and less.

For me...

To me...

That is success!

Do you or have you struggled with this body image hate? Have you gotten past it and can love you for who you are...now?

Until next time...

Trish

Tears

Good morning lovlies!

Each day I find myself so thankful.

When I think about it tears come to my eyes.

I am so undeserving, really, for the blessings that have entered my life.

This past Sunday we encountered our first snowfall…

When my husband left us back in May I knew I needed to find a more suitable, more manageable home for the kids and I.

I started looking way back then.

I tried looking to stay in the area I was living, to not have too much change but just kept getting blocked.

I finally looked a little further away….still nothing.

Then things finally fell into place.

I found the apartment I am now living in…

That the 3 of us really love.

We adore the new congregation we are in, though miss our friends from our previous one.

It is good that we are still fairly close and will keep up with them.

Moving on…

So I was doing errands Monday…after our first snow…

It all of a sudden hit me…

and even now as I am thinking about it tears are just welling up!

A higher power is certainly looking out for us in so many ways.

His hand is so evident in our lives it is just truly amazing and I am so humbled by it…

As I am just so not deserving of all He has done.

I do not intertwine my faith here…

I do not honestly feel it is the right platform for it but…

this is impacting and encompassing all that is with my life that I just need to share it.

We only moved 15 days prior and realistically we should have moved that weekend!!

The weekend of our first snow!

So you are probably thinking so what!!

Well we had a nightmare of driveway at our previous home.

Especially in the winter…

with ice and snow covering it!

We slid down it last year many times, ending in the ditch a few times after…

it was plowed…

salted…

and the van had studded tires!

Plus being in the country the roads were not taken care of in a  timely manner.

The roads in town where we moved were beautiful!

It is the little things right?

Why the big deal, right?

I had to use the money I needed to buy studded snow tires for my van…

it is a different one then I had last year…

for moving expenses and my income right now is next to nothing as financial help from husband has stopped…

hopefully only temporarily.

So the hopes of getting the tires I really need are not anywhere in my near future,

but thankfully the roads here are much better than where we had been.

So I will continue taking things as they come.

Being so appreciative and thankful for all that I have…

for those in my life that are true…

They are what is truly important and without them…

those that are right here helping to hold me up through this extremely stressful and sad time in my life…

to them, and they know who they are…

Thank you!

I love you all!

I hope your day is filled with smiles and love!

Until next time…

Trish
